1. Who We Are

International Fashion Week Albania (IFWA) is an annual fashion event based in Tirana, Albania, established in 2018.

2. What Data We Collect

A. Contact Form
When you use our contact form, we collect: Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number (optional), Subject, and Message.

B. Application Forms — per role

  • Sponsor: Company Name, Contact Person, Email, Phone (optional), Budget Range (optional), Message (optional)
  • Model: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone (optional), Height, Weight (optional), Bust/Waist/Hips (optional), Hair Color (optional), Eye Color (optional), Experience level, Portfolio/Instagram URL (optional), Bio (optional), Photo Upload (optional)
  • Designer: Full Name, Brand Name, Email, Phone (optional), Years of Experience (optional), Collection Description, Portfolio/Website URL (optional), Additional Message (optional)
  • Partner: Organisation Name, Contact Name, Email, Phone (optional), Partnership Type, Message (optional)
  • Media: Full Name, Email, Phone (optional), Media Organisation, Role, Instagram/Website (optional), Coverage Plans (optional)
  • Volunteer: Full Name, Email, Phone (optional), Role Preference, Availability (optional), Previous Experience (optional), Motivation statement (optional)

C. Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-CREP1SVQKX) to automatically collect: pages visited, session duration, device type, browser, approximate location (country/city), and referral source. No cookies are set by IFWA directly — Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _gid, etc.).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to contact enquiries
  • To evaluate and process applications for IFWA events
  • To send confirmation emails to applicants
  • To understand site usage and improve user experience (Analytics)

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

  • Consent: Submitting a form constitutes your consent to receive a reply and to be considered for your requested role.
  • Legitimate Interest: Analytics data is processed to improve the website experience.
  • Contractual Necessity: Processing applications constitutes pre-contractual steps at your request.

5. Data Storage & Retention

No database is used. Form submissions are delivered by email to IFWA staff inboxes. Email copies are retained in Gmail inboxes for as long as operationally necessary, typically no longer than 3 years after the applicable IFWA event.

Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention period (14 months for event-level data).

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google Firebase / Google Analytics — website hosting and analytics (Google LLC, USA)
  • Google Fonts — typeface delivery (Google LLC, USA)
  • Cloudflare CDN — Font Awesome icon delivery (Cloudflare Inc., USA)
  • Gmail / Google Workspace — email delivery of form submissions (Google LLC, USA)

All transfers to the USA are covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or adequacy decisions where applicable.

7. Cookies

Google Analytics sets the following cookies: _ga, _gid, _ga_CREP1SVQKX. No tracking or advertising cookies are set by IFWA itself. You may opt out at any time via your browser settings or Google's opt-out tool: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / Albanian Law No. 9887)

You have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ifwalbania@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS via Firebase Hosting. Form submissions are emailed using TLS-encrypted Gmail SMTP. No payment data is collected or processed on this site.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania and, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
